Post-Jam Bug Fixes!
Sup, ya bunch of goobers! The judges have announced that we can release some updates, so here'a a quick BugFix patch.
- Biggest issue first, the Night 4 Chase Scene should now be working appropriately! Whether you're on the "Little Worm" path or the "Plaything" path, you will not be soft-locked if BB catches you during the chase scene.
- Fixed the looping cutscene problem on Night 4 if you fail to feed BB.
- Fixed a few issues with level geometry being accessible when it is NOT supposed to be.
- Fixed some typos!
- I haven't been able to fix the issue with certain nymphs de-syncing their patterns, but I did make it easier to get through them without taking damage in the event that they do fall out of sync.
- Tutorialized the game a bit more (it now tells you where/how to save the game, how to check the number of ingredients you've gathered, and HINTS at how to tell how many ingredients you need to find on each level.
- Wanted to maintain a level of challenge, so I reduced the overall number of healing spots and made it so they only restore a single hit point. If this proves to be an unpopular decision you can call me names and I'll change it back.
- I alsoooooo excluded unused files to reduce the file size. MV is a really funny guy and sometimes forgets that it needs its "Made with MV" image and will hurt itself in confusion by excluding that, which is what threw me off in the first place. But we got it working, so smaller files = more bang for your bug.
I haven't added any new art/content yet. I AM planning on adding some art for the final weight stage in the True Ending route, as well as remake the title art since it looks like dookie water and I hate it. Also planning on making some kind of a gallery mechanic, adding more conversation topics for the ending sequence where you get to rest on your BugBed, and otherwise cleaning up a few things. I don't have a time frame in mind for these things, but I do want to get things all nice and pretty before I put this project to rest for a while.

off topic but how definitely had an aquatic theme. If I had to take a stab at your next game it’s probably gonna be like fishy waters from way back when but you feed an innsmouth girl.
Definitely a lot of "deep one" type critters running around in Portly Hollow! I think I'm gonna be using this setting to explore more cosmic horror in the future!
Hello. With the end of the jam, When I saw that "Sweet Dreams" was in second place I was surprised but for me this game is in first place. This game is very wonderful and you are a very good developer.

But honestly, I never expected Sweet Dreams to make top three so the fact it made it second place is already a huge honor. Plus I think Chubway really earned that spot in first; I feel like it near-flawlessly blended the kink, jam theme, and gameplay elements in a really cohesive way AND has some really strong replay value to boot.
I don't mind taking second place to Chubway, not one bit!

Nahhh, I wouldn't say that. I'm more than happy just to have made it to the finals, and Sweet Dreams was only half a point from tying with Chubway! I'm not the least bit troubled by the results, honestly.
as it turns out, there is still a bug with the night 4 chase, if you get caught it still gives you looping dialogue about the alarm clock. I was going for the 2-2 success/fail path and it bugged out there
