Patch Update


New version is here! Here are some changes I've made:

  • Fixed the soft lock that occurs in the Divide Route version of the first mini game
  • Added a reminder for sprinting and the "Always Dash" options just before leaving the cellar
  • Added an option to skip the cutscenes right before each mini game, as well as a save request before each of them
  • Added some clarification for the chicken mini game, it now tells you that you need to drop each chicken independently
  • Shortened the lengths of the rounds in the Wellhouse game. Also made it so the clowns reset to their original positions after each round
  • Cleaned up the process for grabbing the milk in the Wellhouse
  • Added more time to examine the patterns in the Greenhouse mini game. Also gave the player more time to set the patterns
  • Added an autorun process to each of the milk locations to let you know when you've found the last one
  • Made adjustments to the storage shed. You no longer need to interact with the button or the pond to be able to interact with the box or the fishing pole (sword) respectively. Also fixed the weight-oriented solution to the puzzle
  • Made some big adjustments to the maze mini game. The maps are now smaller, and rather than cornering you in dead ends the Hillys will now appear from them to chase you (They'll still teleport through the bushes though)
  • Added a "Lampless Mode" that removes the flickering torchlight effect in the maze, and brightens the room to compensate. I'm hoping this helps to curtail the the FPS drop
  • Fixed a typo in the opening cutscene

Skipping the maze cutscene skips the lamp; unify ending with two milk, the machine wouldn't run, and then (having drank one of the three milk to get two milk in the first place) trying the machine in the rest area made the screen go black.

I'll get a move on looking at those, thanks for the bug report!
And just to be clear, by rest area do you mean the Command center with the white floor, or the Lab with the red floor?

Command center, figured 'rest center' because of the random clicking around on the black screen only resulting in the bed examine text every time.

Hm, I felt that the maze was balanced pretty well in the first release. Sure it could stink getting a dead end on the last maze and having to start over, but in the end, I didn’t think it was that hard to memorize the path.

Yeah I feel I may have over corrected a bit here. Just being able to skip the cutscene likely would have alleviated a lot of the frustrations people were having.
But I also made the mazes smaller in the hopes that it would help performance a bit, without people having to resort to Lampless mode; that one's kind of an extreme solution for folks who REALLY need it.

I see this as an absolute win! This is literally everything I've seen anyone complain about, and several things I didn't.

I was hoping to catch them all at once lol
