IMPIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey there! Pardon the radio silence, existence is stupefying and inescapable. Happy New Year!

Credit to UnindetifiedSpaceGamer for being the first to mention it! I hid the title for my next game in the book by the chair in the Hilly house! (You had to interact with it twice, for anyone wondering!)

From here, I'll start with a quick blurb about the game as well as some artworks, both concept and final. I'll likely keep updating this with other additions until I've got the demo ready for release, so stay tuned! There'll be more updates when I've got more worth sharing.

Nestled deep within the Styxian Seas lies the Godfall Coast, once the home of the Great and Mighty Archdemon Beelzebub. Her defeat, at the hands of your Mistress Beleth, has ensured a judicious expansion of her immaculate empire. Surely, the hand you played in Her victory would see you rewarded...?

Not so. In fact, she rewards your discipline and amenability with nothing but abuse and disregard. As if life in the Hells wasn't already hazardous enough, now even success leaves you suffering.
Well no more. In the dead of night, you steal what riches you can and escape to the Mortal Plane, eager to be free from Her wretchedness. And yet, you know that this is no solution. All Devils are intrinsically tied to the vast planes of the Hells; any misstep on the Mortal Plane would result in your returning right to Beleth's wicked clutches. There is only one way to be truly free...
Plunder. Pillage. Desecrate and destroy any that might stand in the way of your rise to power!
The Heavens abhor you. The Hells have forsaken you. And the Mortal Plane would see you slain on sight.
Loyalty and obedience have have shackled you for too long; it is time to cast these gilded manacles in to the mud.

Impious is an upcoming multi-kink action RPG made in RPG Maker MV, wherein you play as one of three imps;

Marchosias: A Hadean imp with a warrior's heart and a strategist's mind, dedicated to battle and the strength of her kingdom.

Vepar: A Styxian imp, and a keen survivalist who wants little more than to be free from the vicious wilds of the Hells.

Gremory: A Lethean imp from a once noble family line, eager to see it restored to its former glory. 

As you explore the Mortal continent of Althare, you will discover artifacts to increase your power, mortal souls ripe for making infernal deals with, and long forgotten Shrines dedicated to the worship of the Seven Sins. Your conversion of these Shrines will bestow incredible powers, and unique demonic forms!

Is it Lust that drives you? Will you seek to beguile your foes as the wily Succubus, or will you defend and empower your allies as the assiduous Broodmother?
Is it ravenous Gluttony you wish to see? To fatten yourself on success as a Ghoulish Gourmand? Or, like the Endless Hunger, perhaps you crave game of a different variety...?
And few could go wrong with Sloth! Why fight your foes at all? You could just as well let them choke on disease and blight as the pernicious Creeping Death! And if even that is too much work, you could always lull your foes into inescapable nightmares as the Baleful Omen, where your allies would be more than capable of finishing them off...

These and more! Your choice in Sin will change your play style, your appearance, and your tactics.

Though it will have play heavily into dark fantasy themes, there won't be much in the way of explicit violence or gore (aside from the blood oceans in the Hells, anyway).

I'm hoping to drop some more teasers and such in the near future! Development has been going relatively well, but this project is much larger scope than my previous game titles so there's a lot of groundwork to lay (and general life stuff tends to get in the way as well).
