Attempting a Browser Version!!

I'm currently toying with making a viable browser version, in an attempt to make the game more accessible to Mac and Mobile users (in lieu of making and managing three separate downloads that I would most assuredly mishandle). Moreover, I finally realized that I could exclude unused files, which will make the game a lot smaller and ought to help performance a bit. Ideally.
Hopefully.

As always, there's a chance I messed something up in uploading the game or while messing with itchio page settings, so if you run into any issues feel free to let me know! I'll be play testing the browser version on my end to see if it runs well, but the point of adding it is to make it more accessible to other platforms so if it doesn't work on Mac or Mobile don't hesitate to tell me!

Huh I had no issues with the browser version of the game before this announcement. I just went on HTML of the game and opened it on fox. if it doesn't work on someones browser it means they have not disabled their safety features or enabled features for utilising the html link

p.s i play on mac

That would explain why my computer-illiterate ass was having issues! I completely neglected to mess with my browser features before playtesting.
Good to know it works fine on Mac! I want to see if I can get it functioning right on mobile as well.

Based. I noticed something right off the bat, being that, in the intro cutscene, when it flashes from "eyes closed" to "eyes open" you can briefly see the room you're in. Also, since the game's stability is tied to what all is running in your browser, if you have a slow computer or an intensive tab open, it'll decrease the games performance. On the bright side, even if you reload or fully close the page, your save data remains untouched.

Yeah, I noticed the performance has been a bit unreliable. Also, that issue with the intro cutscene has been a consistent thorn in my side, even with the windows download, and attempts to fix it have been unsuccessful. At first I thought it was just the order in which I showed the pictures, but it's wound up being a lot trickier to fix than that. It's ugly and I hate it so fixing it is on my to-do list, but it kind of has me stumped at the moment.
I tested it on mobile too, and hoo boy are there a lot of issues with that as well (like the music being cut out!!). I might have some ideas for addressing that though.

But it's good to know that saves are working,! That's a silver lining for sure! I don't know if they'll carry over well with newer versions, but that's a problem I can push off until later.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate the help!!
