Update and Announcement Time!!
I usually don't want to update unless I have something worth sharing, so updates tend to be few and far between. Pardon the absence!
I've been thinking a lot about the future of BFS9!! while trying to chip away at updates and such, and I've come to the conclusion that the project itself is kind of aimless. While I have ideas for story progression, I've found that the ideas either don't stick or feel like they cap the story off way too soon. With all that, I feel like I'll be taking a break from the project once I've uploaded the upcoming special episode.
That's not to say that I'm done with it, though! I've grown to love X2 and her stupid little shenanigans, and I'd love to keep making stories with her. It's just that I'm going to be treating BFS9!! as more of an "episodic" type project, rather than a single contained narrative. I feel like the "monster of the week" type format would be much more liberating for this setting, with a few returning villains and monsters popping up here and there. Which brings me to the progress report!
A quick description of the new episode: there will be a tremendous focus on TIDDY.
And MILK.
And MURDEROUS COUNTRY BUMPKINS.
And MILK.
I'm going to wait until the project is nearly done before I provide more information on it (I shared a few screenshots in the last devlog), but I hope y'all like your alien tiddy huge and sloshy! This one will be lacking in the preggo content, since it was mainly a way for me to indulge my breast-expansion brainrot. But hey, maybe there'll be some at the end? Who knows? Not me!
Since I wanted it to be more than just a walking-talking simulator I've been experimenting with different types of mini-games and map puzzles! This has not been going well! Though the brain teasers have been fun to finesse my way around, they happen to be pretty time consuming. The original BFS9!! is a veritable cesspool of random switches and variables and absolutely brainless decisions (such as my handling of changing character sprites, which I will never forgive myself for), and as it turns out that's not the easiest thing to navigate. The learning experience has been vital, even if I feel like I deserve to punch myself in the face for it.
Progress is definitely happening, but I definitely bit off more than I could chew and it's been a pretty big struggle. I don't want to announce TOO much, since I have no clear idea when the episode will be ready for launch, but rest assured that things are getting done! And once this new special drops, I might just have another special announcement lined up...
Who knows? Not me!
Anyway, that's all for now. Stay spicy!

i cant run the game
Hmm, that's strange. Seems to be working on my end.
Are you using a Mac by chance?
im using pc but im updated and now is runnig by the way i real like your work and i love X2
Good to hear!
And thank you! I really like writing for the little weirdo.
Excited for more of your adorably horny alien babe.
Happy to hear it! Hopefully it doesn't take me too much longer to get the next episode posted
Awesome!
Just played this. Really like your writing. Surprisingly good. Keep up the good work.
Ayy, I'm glad to hear that you liked it Serasin! Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it!!
"This has not been going well!" Reported with utmost enthusiasm- I would expect nothing less.
Episodic is probably a good idea- it'll give you room to experiment more, and you can abandon ideas if they don't have anywhere else to go after 1 shot.
Good luck on finding good puzzles!
It can be a real pain when stuff doesn't work the way I want to, but figuring it out can actually be a lot of fun lol
I definitely feel like the episodic angle will be better for BFS9, I'm glad others seem to agree.
Thank you!
Cow time!
I also have grown to love X2's unmitigated gremlin energy. But if her story's wrapped up and throwing X2 into another wacky porn plot doesn't make sense given the Lore™, then... Don't. It's fine. I have no doubt the next alien (and their team) is(/are) going to be just as lovable!
After all, X2's job is being a momma, and she's not gonna be around all the time to feed her many, many offspring.
So if another quirky alien babe had to carry the burden of having HUGE- *ahem* - "supplying additional nutrition to the next generation of her species", well, I'd love to meet her!
And then you could draw her and X2 interacting.Cow time!
I wouldn't really say I have her story wrapped up, it's more that I don't really have a single narrative in mind. I really like the idea of having her deal with all sorts of weird things during her tenure on Earth.
Also, it's interesting you bring up other breeders! The way I've got it in the story, there's usually only one Breeder per planet so as to make subterfuge easier. BUT I was considering giving X2 a kind of "rival" who'd call her up and taunt her about any "performance issues" she'd be having. Though that's an idea I'm still playing with, I don't have anything fleshed out yet!
Take you're time. Perfection need it and you made it.
Breast expansion?!? YESSSSS!
I know is a lot to ask but can you the game playabil for Mac?
I can give it a try after I've got all the new stuff posted. The main reason I added the browser version was to make it easier for mac users to play, but I don't think I've had any feedback on that front. I also recall some other folks mentioning JoiPlay being a good option for playing RPG Maker games on Mac, so that could be worth checking out?
Either way, I'd like to leave the game in a good state for other platforms before I start working on other things, so I can add it to my to-do list!
Yay:)
Before I bought my own copy of RPGMaker MV for Mac, I'd stick the asset files from a Windows game into a known good Mac game.
There are a few Windows MV games where the above workaround doesn't work or breaks some functions, but BFS9 isn't one of them.
Oh boy! Tiddy! My favorite!
Unequivocally based!
