Quick Progress Update!!


Hey! Apologies for the radio silence, I just haven't really had much to share. No new versions yet, but I have been working on adding a few things! 

  • I'm reworking the Area 51 chase a bit, so that the other agents in the base will chase you after the Director shows up! They're slower, and getting grabbed by them isn't an instant game over, but they will slow you down which gives the Director more time to catch you! Currently, I feel like escaping the Director is a bit too easy (especially since the ai tracking is kind of bad so she just slams herself into walls and corners lmao), but I also don't want to over do it so I'll be messing with that for a little bit. 
  • I'm still trying to get the sewer encounter how I want it. This is probably going to take a little while, since I want to experiment with some actual combat, and there are some things I need to brush up on in order to get it running the way I want. There'll also be new art assets that I'll need to whip up for it as well, so might take a bit.

There may be some smaller things here and there that I mess with too. I want the clue items to have some kind of agency outside of just being random collectibles, so I'm looking to add some functionality with those. I also like the idea of a secret encounter in the Base, but that's kind of a low priority at the moment. Also a low priority is making sprites for all the characters, but still something I'm interested in.

I'll be chipping away at these issues for a hot minute! I might try to post progress updates like this a little more regularly, since being consumed by the void for 20+ days is kind of annoying. (Also holy shit over 5000 downloads?? HOT DAMN! Thanks y'all!!! I gotta make time to make a special little drawing for this!)
